Locust Avenue

Not a home

Just a place where we got high

We were all nineteen

And freedom was a taste that we enjoyed

Living for the nights

We would go until the drugs ran out

Or until someone recalled being employed

We all worked in restaurants

If we worked at all

Justin made his ends meet selling pot

Nasty in the crawlspace

That summer was a small taste

Of a lifestyle where the party never stops

On Locust Avenue

On Locust Avenue

On Locust Avenue

On Locust Avenue

There was that day where we all tripped and walked around to look at flowers

But I started freaking out and had to leave

Then I calmed down

And stole my father’s car to get back

Needing to be a part of the memory

I picked you up

And we went on a bay ride

We parked so we could walk along the beach

I gave the money in my wallet to a man I met screaming nothing really matters

Cause nothing really matters

On Locust Avenue

On Locust Avenue

On Locust Avenue

On Locust Avenue

The leaves started falling

The police started calling

They set up shop right down the street

They gave us parking tickets

Cause we told em where to stick it

When they asked to come inside to take a peek

The party's got out of hand

The neighbors didn't understand

We were young and didn’t give a fuck

Casey crashing through the wall

We wouldn't make it through the fall

Our safe haven had run out of its luck

So we sing … oh oh oh oh oh da da da da

So we sing … oh oh oh oh oh da da da da

One day the cops came through the door

Screaming everybody on the floor

This search warrant will execute today

Justin crawled out of his window

With a half a pound of indo

The bastards would not get him in this way

And they did not.

But an eviction notice came

The landlord had exhausted his good will

The party had to stop

But none of us forgot

That one summer we spent

On Locust Avenue

On Locust Avenue

On Locust Avenue

On Locust Avenue

Island Time

Sun rise

Doggo snoring

Nothing to do today

But it ain’t boring

Shoes on and I'm out the door

Take a run along a foggy shore

Pot of coffee

Fill my cup

Pack a bowl

And spark it up

Take a bike

Out to the rock

Swim until my legs are shot

These are the days

Put me back on island time

I need that state of mind

Island time

Where everything's slow

Put me back on Island time

We can ignore the grind

Island time where we take it slow

Sun set

Hit the cottage to clean up

Crack open a bottle

Of the hard stuff

Pregame

Then we're out the door

Start a fire on a moon lit shore

Crack a beer and throw it back

Listen as the ocean crashes

Call the crew and hit the bar

Or fall asleep while counting stars

These are the nights

Put me back on island time

I need that state of mind

Island time

Where everything's slow

Put me back on Island time

We can ignore the grind

Island time where we take it slow

Only alarm clock that's ringing

is the foghorn that’s singing to me

Only thing I am planning is a nap

In the hammock round three

Savor the scene

Cause we’re living the dream

Until its back to reality

Put me back on island time

I need that state of mind

Island time

Where everything's slow

Put me back on Island time

We can ignore the grind

Island time where we take it slow

Buzz

(Feat. Roads and James of Tropidelic)

Yo I'm the kind of guy who routinely gets faded

Like clothing in the sun or Belushi in the eighties

With some ladies driving in the wrong lane in his Mercedes

With a bag full of smack and a bottle of baileys

Boys in the squad are Jose, Jack, Jim, Cheech Chong and Pablo down in Medellin

If it's a sin to get drunk than I'm going to hell

Where the beer is all skunk and the liquors all well

And the smell of the weed is similar to perfume

But you don’t get high cause you’ve become immune

You can still try but it'll make you cry soon

Bloodshot eyes, wish your body could be exhumed.

Yo I don’t fuck with sobriety

I self-medicate to placate anxiety

Don’t wanna glorify it but I ain’t trying to hide it

All I’m trying to say is

I’ll catch my buzz

However, I wanna Smoke a dozen spliffs of some fire marijuana

Smokin up the room like we're chilling in a sauna

Tequila out the bottle like were down in Tijuana

Oh we

You can save the drama

I'm here to have a good time don't need another mama.

Gonna act a god damn fool

When I catch my buzz

(Feat. James of Tropidelic)

Some double shots without a chaser now I’m actin out

Blind to the consequences that these actions brought about

Been a long day your headed home I’m on a different route

Sippin road sodas while I’m whippin round the roundabout

Don’t tempt me with la coca I’m broke-a

I’d rather smoke a Double fatty wrapped with wax and hash got bats like Sammy Sosa

Drinkin like there’s a quota

Whiskey without the soda

Now I can’t get off the sofa

Wake me up with a mimosa

(Feat. Roads of Tropidelic)

My pain's similiar to the Mississippi River

Cuz it's splits me through the middle

And the shit's so deep

I medicated started out as just a little

But it built up and got bigger

Now the stress won't leave

All drunk, creepin through a slum

I never gave a fuck cuz I was carrying a gun

Call cuz, I thought I had it rough

I couldn't get enough ya I was searchin for a buzz

I never promised mama straight A's

Chicago cocaine had me kickin like Pele

A kamikaze in my hayday

Took a lot of hits but never quit Tom Brady

I spit in death's face daily

Life was just a circus, no purpose, Barnum & Bailey

Ya it was all so shady

But I still miss it

When I Catch my buzz

However I wanna

Smoke a dozen spliffs of some fire marijuana

Smokin up the room like we're chilling in a sauna

Tequila out the bottle like were down in Tijuana

Oh we,

You can save the drama

I'm here to have a good time don't need another mama.

Gonna act a god damn fool

When I catch my buzz

(Chad)

I’m living a life like Hunter S Thompson all the time,

I recommend you buy the ticket and enjoy the fucking ride.

What’s the worst that could happen you expand your little mind,

and take a step outside what you thought possible in life.

I’m breaking it down to tell you something that I know,

It’s like the higher that I get the more connected I feel to my soul,

and I’m not talking about high as in coke or dope or smack

So if you’re coming with that shit

We don’t have any time for that.

I’m talking about marijuana to pass the time,

I’m talking about psychedelics to free your mind,

Talking about having some drinks when we’re feeling the love

then the music fucking hits me and

I catch my buzz.

However I wanna

Smoke a dozen spliffs of some fire marijuana

Smokin up the room like we're chilling in a sauna

Tequila out the bottle like were down in Tijuana

Oh we,

You can save the drama

I'm here to have a good time don't need another mama.

Gonna act a god damn fool

When I catch my buzz

Serving

Living my life one mistake at a time

They all keep adding up waiting tables for the last six years

My youth is wrapping up

And now I'm staring down at a glass

For answers it won't give

Wondering why I live to work when I know I should be working to live

So I get myself another drink and try to forget that I drink too much Cause if this is my lot in life it'll just have to be enough See i’m settling for having my bills paid and that cigarette after a long day And when it gets too hard ill close the bar And run a tab up that'll be more than I made holding on to dreams I'm dreaming cause they're the only thing thats keeping me moving And if when I awake I'm still a lowly slave I'll be ok with this life I'm living Locked up institutionalized Labeled criminal of the state An affliction of addiction we all have one on our plate Knocked up car flipped raided home Troubled souls are the only ones I know I wouldn’t take it any other way I'm so sorry if you can't relate

Self-loathing

Been running on E for the last 3 years

Faded way before i had those last three beers

The alcohol’s the only thing that masks these fears

Eyes screaming help while the mouth screams cheers

And I’m trying to fill up this hole with achievements

I lost my soul and ain’t got no time for bereavement

Every mountain climbed has a bottomless well

Where everybody starts to love you but you still don’t love yourself

Each sentence is more exposing

All the feelings I’m not showing

Every article of clothing

Stitched together with self-loathing

I’m sick of all the plans and I’m sick of all the sycophants

Sick of all the bands that are so quick to post on Instagram

Sick of every chance that we’re not picked it makes me sick

People are quick to skip a second glance despite the nations sickest fans

Each day passes quicker than the last one

Lack of a routine becoming sanity’s assassin

One more year older, one more chip on my shoulder

Sisyphus about to quit trying to move the boulder

Each sentence is more exposing

All the feelings I’m not showing

Every article of clothing

Stitched together with self-loathing

I can’t kill these thoughts

But I try, Lord I try

I’ll take my shot but I know, yea I know

This is ours

Rainfall sings a song upon the roof

Half asleep in bed and I’m dreaming of my youth

When my biggest fear was ending up alone

Family is an obsession when you're from a broken home

Now I rome, I’m always on the move

But when I'm here with you there's never anything to prove

Effortless and simple, loving you is easy

All you ask is to be held at night before you fall asleep

And no one else will have this

Cause no one else will be us

This lives and dies with you and I

This is unique And it is ours

It's an hour before sunrise and you are still asleep

I'm lost inside the song that you are breathing next to me

It's drowning out the voices that live inside my head

The world seems to stand still when lovers share their bed

And I have said everything words can convey

But language fails to get across exactly what the heart would say I hope you know

I'm yours and our story will unfold

While we make a couple babies and watch while they grow old
